Terms & Conditions for Private Tuition
PLEASE READ CAREFULLY & RETAIN THIS DOCUMENT FOR FUTUREÂ REFERENCE
All customers are expected to abide by the terms and conditions. In the unlikely event of failing to do so, a customer may be requested to discontinue classes and a refund will not be eligible in these circumstances.
Upon payment being received it will be assumed that you agree to all of the following terms and conditions:Â
1. Payment
1.1 Payment Structure:
- Payment for private tuition sessions must be made in advance. Payments can be made
per session or in blocks of multiple sessions.
- All payments are non-refundable and subject to revision with reasonable notice.
- All payments must be made payable to Claire Holland.
2. Notice and Cancellation
2.1 Cancellation by Client:
- A minimum of 24 hours’ notice is required to cancel or reschedule a session. Failure to provide such notice will result in the full fee being charged.
- If multiple sessions are booked, a half-term’s notice is required to discontinue the
service.
2.2 Cancellation by Tutor:
- In the event that I, the tutor need to cancel a session, the session will be rescheduled at
a mutually convenient time or a credit will be applied to your account. As much time as
possible will be given should a cancellation occur.
3. Conduct and Responsibilities
3.1 Punctuality:
- Clients are expected to be punctual. Sessions will not be extended to accommodate late
arrivals.
- If the client is more than 15 minutes late without prior notice, the session will be
considered cancelled and will be charged in full.
3.2 Preparation and Homework:
- Clients are expected to come prepared for each session and to complete any homework
assigned. This ensures progress and effective use of the tuition time.
4. Technical Requirements for Online Sessions
4.1 Technology:
- Online classes are conducted via Zoom; it is the client’s responsibility to ensure they
have a stable internet connection and a functioning device.
- Technical issues from the client’s side will not be grounds for rescheduling or refunding
a session.
- In the event of technical difficulties on my end, I will reschedule the session or offer acredit for a future class.
5. GDPR:
- All the personal information collected on the registration form is requested to operate the agreement between you and I. It will be stored safely and securely. It will not be passed on to any third party and will be deleted when the student no longer attends my classes.
- Any personal information collected will be used solely for the purpose of the classes and
will not be shared with third parties.
6. Missed Sessions Policy
- No refunds will be given for missed sessions unless cancelled by myself, the tutor.
7. Exceptional circumstances:
- Under extraordinary circumstances a refund might be awarded on a case by case basis.
8. Complaints Procedure
- If you are unhappy with my service, please contact me, Claire Holland directly. I will aim to resolve any issues promptly and mutually.
